Sunrise in the Wild was inspired by a morning when the African bush awoke beneath a sky washed in crimson. Before the day fully arrived, the horizon began to glow with layers of deep red, amber, and soft gold, spilling light across the land with a warmth that felt almost sacred. The stillness of early dawn made every color seem more vivid, as though the entire landscape were holding its breath for the sun.
As the first light stretched over the bush, the world slowly came into focus — grasses shimmering, distant forms beginning to move, and the quiet sounds of wildlife rising with the day. I wanted to capture that remarkable moment when night gives way to morning and the bush is transformed by color, light, and life. This painting is a celebration of that fleeting brilliance, and of the deep beauty found in the wild at sunrise.
