As dawn broke over the Kalahari, I stepped quietly from my tent, expecting only the hush of the desert morning. Instead, I found myself face-to-face with a magnificent male kudu—his spiraled horns catching the first light, his presence both powerful and serene. For a brief moment, we shared the same space, each of us still and alert. Then, with a graceful leap, he vanished into the brush, leaving behind a sense of awe that lingered long after he was gone.
“Majestic Kudu” is my tribute to that unforgettable encounter.
