There are moments in the wild that feel almost otherworldly—when the first light of day breaks through the mist and the world seems to hold its breath. “Ethereal Dawn” was born from one such morning at Victoria Falls. I stood at the edge of the gorge, watching sunlight ignite the billowing spray, turning water and air into gold. The roar of the falls faded into the background as I sketched, trying to capture the fleeting magic of that sunrise.

This painting is my attempt to share that sense of awe and renewal. Each brushstroke is layered with memory: the cool mist on my skin, the shifting colors in the sky, and the quiet presence of wildlife moving through the haze. I hope “Ethereal Dawn” invites you to pause, breathe, and feel the wonder of a new day in the heart of the wild.
