In the heart of the Okavango Delta, I was captivated by a stunning dawn, which I sought to capture in “The Lookout.” As the first light illuminated the sky with gentle oranges and soft pinks, it filtered through the leaves, highlighting the leopard's beautiful coat. From my vantage point, I could see the predator's keen eyes scanning the landscape below with vigilant alertness.
This painting reflects my admiration for the resilience of nature and the intricate balance of life in the delta. “The Lookout” is more than just a portrait; it’s a reminder of the vigilant watchfulness required for survival in the wild. I aimed to embody the wild spirit of the Okavango at dawn.
