Some mornings in Africa, the world feels charged with possibility. On one such day, I remember watching a lilac-breasted roller perched high above the grasslands, its feathers catching the early morning light. Suddenly, with a flash of turquoise and lavender, it launched into a steep, acrobatic dive—pure energy and grace in motion.
I painted “Azure Dive” to capture that exhilarating moment of wild freedom.
