Regal One
There are moments in the wild that etch themselves into memory—a hush falls over the plains, the sun dips low, and suddenly, you find yourself in the presence of true majesty. “Regal One” was inspired from such an encounter: a close, reverent observation of a powerful male lion as he surveyed his kingdom in the golden light of an African sunset.
I remember the quiet tension in the air, the way the lion’s mane caught the last rays of the day, and the sense of ancient wisdom in his gaze. This painting is my attempt to share that fleeting connection—the awe, respect, and humility I felt standing just yards away from one of nature’s most iconic creatures.
